Yes, Highbury College is accredited by the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education institution under the Higher Education Act of 1997. To legally provide higher education qualifications in South Africa, an institution must be registered with the Department, have its qualifications accredited by the Higher Education Quality Committee of the Council on Higher Education, and have them listed on the National Qualifications Framework by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

NC(V) programmes:
Grade 9 Certificate, preference given to the grade 10 & 11 applicants.
Engineering N2-N3 programmes:
Grade 11 Certificate with Mathematics 50% or Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy 50% or N1 equivalent.
National N Diploma N4-N6 Programmes:
Grade 12 Certificate
Additional admission requirements may apply, pending programme and qualification offerings.
Students currently writing their final exams / awaiting their results should apply with their latest academic results.
Once they receive their results, they will be able to update and complete their application process.
Preference will be given to students who reside in the College’s geographical footprint.
Students traveling from outside of Pretoria are responsible for their living arrangements, before application with Highbury College.
Yes, foreign students can apply for Full-Time, Part-Time and Distance Learning programmes, however, foreign students do not qualify for the NSFAS Bursary. The student must have the relevant documentation and a study permit issued by the Department of Home Affairs.
It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that they have this documentation at registration as they will not be able to register without this. It is also the responsibility of the student to ensure that the documentation is renewed when it expires.
The College does not offer accommodation or residence.
